resumeBuddy tailors your resume, cover letter, and job-search outreach to a specific job posting, using an AI provider you choose and your own API key. It runs entirely in your browser — there is no backend, no account, and no analytics. Your resume, your API key, and everything it generates stay in your browser's local storage and are sent only directly from your browser to the AI provider you picked.
You add a master resume once (paste it, import a PDF or DOCX, or build one with a guided wizard), give it a job description, and it produces a match-confidence check followed by tailored resume bullets, a full tailored resume, a cover letter, and optional outreach materials — each grounded only in what is actually in your resume, and each editable in place before you copy or download it. An optional application tracker keeps a snapshot of each posting you apply to, with a status funnel (Applied, Response, Interview, Offer, Rejected), notes, and a plain JSON export.
Supported AI providers: Gemini (free), Groq (free), OpenRouter (free models only), Anthropic / Claude (paid), and Ollama (fully local). It is also available as a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox, and is part of the boring by design family of apps.
